Cookie policy

How we use cookies.

Effective date: 3 June 2026

This policy explains what cookies we use on adastral.ai, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

01 What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how their site is used.

Similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy. We refer to all of these collectively as cookies throughout this document.

02 What cookies we use

We use three categories of cookies on adastral.ai. The table below summarises each category, what it does, and whether your consent is required before we place it.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data or to build detailed personal profiles for sale to third parties.

03 Consent and your choices

When you first visit adastral.ai, a cookie banner will ask for your consent before we place any analytics or marketing cookies. Essential cookies are placed automatically as they are strictly necessary for the site to function.

You have a genuine choice. You can accept all cookies, accept essential cookies only, or reject all non-essential cookies. We do not make it harder to decline than to accept.

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from specific sites. Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the website works.

04 How long cookies last

Cookies can be either session cookies or persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

The specific duration of each cookie depends on the tool or platform that sets it. We review the cookies we use periodically and update this policy when our cookie use changes.

05 Third-party cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services we use - for example analytics platforms and marketing tools. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies which govern how they use any data collected. We do not control third-party cookies directly but we only work with services whose data practices we are satisfied with.

Where third-party services involve the transfer of data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place as described in our Privacy Policy.

Specific third-party services in use include Sentry (error monitoring, data stored in Germany). Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

06 Cookies and the law

Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR. PECR requires us to obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies. UK GDPR governs how any personal data collected through cookies is handled.

We review our cookie practices regularly in line with ICO guidance and update our approach as that guidance develops.
